Meet Heather

Heather is a Certified Lactation Counselor through the ALPP. She is currently in the process of earning clinical hours in order to sit for the IBCLC exam and receive the highest credential in the lactation field. When she is not taking care of clients in her Central Jersey Private Practice, she is working closely with an IBCLC mentor in Princeton, New Jersey and interning with IBCLC’s on the Maternity Floor of her local hospital. She has 15 years of personal breastfeeding experience and is completely passionate about her work. She wants to encourage new families to get the support they need early on and understands how important that help can be. Heather lives in Hunterdon County, New Jersey on a farm (Hidden Clover Farm) with her husband of 16 years, Ryan. They have six beautiful children together, Brandon, Kristin, Colton, Dylan, Tyler, and Hannah. Heather and her family enjoy being outdoors, the beach, their boat, and life on the farm.

“The worry and questioning never end, no matter how many babies you have fed. It’s always ok to ask for help. As the saying goes, “It takes a village,” and there are people like me that have such a strong desire to help new moms and their babies. To support them, to give them strength, to take the worry off their shoulders, to let them know they are doing great, and to give them the resources they need to overcome their feeding obstacles. I have realized there is so little support in the hospitals due to time constraints and an even greater absence of help once you and your new baby go home. That is what pushed me to take the coursework and the exam to become a Certified Lactation Counselor and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I want to continue to learn as much as I can to help you. I want to be there for you and your baby now that you are home. Or even if your baby isn’t a new little one and you have moved on to the next step of your breastfeeding journey with an older infant or toddler and reached a road bump, I would love to help you. Let me nurture you while you nurture your baby! And remember, you are doing great!”
